Press Release: The Empire

Santa Rosa, Ca (IP-Imperial press)Here is an official press release (sort of like a Q & A) for blog story: The Empire. Comprised of various circulating questions, an Imperial Theaters spokesman now answers:

Spokesman: Welcome to imperial theater's exclusive set of public interviews. In order to clarify a commonly asked about story- THE EMPIRE: Episode I, From Shadows and Dust. Lets go to our questions....

Q: When does the story take place?

A: "The Empire" takes place around 2700 A.D., years into the future.

Q: Where does it take place on the timeline of other imperial things like IMF?

A: It takes place long after the empire, IMF, Black sun, etc. are gone. Many wars have happened, the empire itself is gone. After a large muslim uprising around 2600 A.D., a leader emerged, who after winning the war, betrayed everyone and tryed to conquer the world. He was near suceeding, when at a climactic battle he died. Around 2680 AD, the world is renewed, the Global Republic is instated and order returns. A UN like organization, however , puts a blockade on a city of neapolis, in the republic, and begins invasion when the story begins.

Q: On Neapolis, what, where is it, and why wasn't it introduced much?

A: The Authors origionally intended for a star wars style opening credits to be displayed, via youtube, that explained such things, however, due to technical delay, it was cut.

Neapolis is a massive trade city, resembling Theed, from star wars. It lies east of Florida, near the Bahamas, in the Atlantic ocean. Because it is in the ocean, it lies on a man made island, actually 4 man made islands, 3 shaped like kidney beans, surrounding a circular center island wherethe royalty, government and big city are. Imperial theaters will come out with a full post on this shortly...

Q: And another big city- Orticon....is what?

A: Orticon is the Courascant of the story. It is around the whole san diego/ LA area, extending into high rises, and over part of the bay.

Q: Why is is so much like Star Wars?

A: The series is intended to follow the plot generally. The authors wanted a fairly complex plot, yet wanted readers to be able to follow it, so they decided to copy the plot in the beggining, so once readers get on track the plot can start to change to a more origional story. For now, if readers are confused, THE EMPIRE reccomends referencing star wars episode I, as it bears great resemblences.

Spokesman: We hope this has revealed facets of one of our blog stories, and have answered your questions. Comment if we have missed anyone. Until next time, this is Imperial Times.
